Emerging from the darkness...into the sun? Aerin wasn't expecting this, but she loved the feeling of sun on her skin. As she glanced upwards, she realized that she was in the Destiny Islands. Destiny Islands! She remembered the place; it was the same sun, the same beach...if only Selphie was here, where she was. "It's the beach! The beach!" the girl exclaimed, ecstatic over the fact that she was no longer in the cold and clammy plateau. |

Indeed, this beach is identical to the one Aerin had seen before. She is, in fact, stood on the same pier as the last time she were 'here'. Obviously, though, there is no door waiting at the end, though three empty rowboats are tethered to the strut. Past the foot of the pier is a small cliffside with wooden boardwalks ascending it. Whoever built the manmade components in this place must've been here a while |

Aerin smiled to herself. It really was the Destiny Islands...and she was here to visit Selphie. Was the experience she had went through fake? Or was it real? She glanced around, before walking towards the mainland. |

The channel of sea stretches in front of Aerin. A few hundred yards or so into the distance, Aerin can see the opposing beach and pier, possibly the other berth for these boats. In order to access the mainland proper, she would need to commandeer one of these little boats. There isn't much mainland to speak of on the isle she is on now, but the boats suggest that this island is not uninhabited right now. The There are a trio of wet footprints coming from the pier, which sweeps through the sand and around a protrusion of the cliff-face. Judging by wind erosion, they haven't been there for very long. |

Aerin blinked, before deciding to follow the trail of footsteps... |

The trail of footprints leads to a sort of wooden barricade with a door embedded into it. On the other side comes a group of childish giggling. "Come on, guys. We need to get this going. I'm gettin' bored." "You're always bored. You just came here so you could show off your big head, ya." |

Aerin blinked, tilting her head to one side. She knocked on the door lightly. "Hello?" |

The door swings open revealing more beach. The permeation of the gaggle was due to the door being ajar. From behind it, Aerin can see two boys retreating across a jury-rigged obstacle course of sorts. One person, a girl, is already partway. It seems they're racing. |

Aerin blinked, watching the trio race. They looked somewhat familiar to her eyes. "Hey!" she called out, running towards them, smiling. |

One of them, a tall wisp-haired kid with a blue bandanna stops to turn around. "Woah. I didn't know there was another girl here! Come play with us, there's always room for one more, ya?" |

Aerin giggled. If they didn't remember her, it was perfectly okay..."Sure! I'll take you up," Aerin responded, smiling at the bandanna-wearing boy. She then looked at the other two, smiling at them too. |

The two boys grin back. The girl is too far away to have noticed. "Ya, we haven't introduced yet!" "Yeah! My name's Tidus!" This boy starts brandishing his stick as if it were a katana, showing littlle in the Artistic Skill department. The boy beside him grabs the stick and forces it down to his side. "And my name's Wakka. He can be a bit of a bighead and--" "Hey!" |

Aerin smiled, then laughed at the situation. So, it was true...they didn't remember her; it was merely happening within her, but she still knew them. She smiled politely all the same, before looking from Tidus to Wakka, an amused expression on her face. "And I'm Aerin," she said, "What's that you guys are playing?" |

"Just a little race. To that paopu tree and back. Wakka keeps cheating - his legs are too long." "You're just jealous 'cos you're a shrimp, Tidus!" "Hey! Am I the only one racing here?" "Hold on a sec, Selph! You want to join us, ya?" |

"Yeah, I wanna!" Aerin said, grinning at Wakka, then at Tidus. "You're tall, Wakka..." she said, sighing a little then standing near Tidus. |
